Will I need adjuster APproval?
No! The need for IMC involvement is determined by the primary treating therapist, within protocol. Adjustor approval is only required for patients who fall out of protocol. Specific details can be found in the DTPR.
WILL MY PATIENT HAVE TO PAY?
No! The Alberta DTPR outlines the IMC process. The MVA insurer will cover the cost of an IMC assessment.
My patient is not covered by insurance. How much will an IMC assessment cost?
A private consultation with a injury management consultant costs $200 and includes a free pre-referral consult for the treating therapist.
I don't have a referral. Can Jonathan still treat me?
Absolutely! Although we do not require a doctor's referral, you may want to double check if your extended health benefits do.
